To all of you who have shown such enthusiasm for our little corner of the local economy: Thank you. Friends, we're now in our ninth year of providing a good place to find wholesome foods and handcrafted goods of the finest quality.
We've developed as a unique Market - part community center, part country fair, part champion for local food and farm product, all heart and soul. Many folks say we are one of the best markets they have ever been to.
Your visit here will show you how a committed group of citizens can work within the local government to bring forth a truly positive dream. Our location allows for a large array of vendors. Our grounds are well maintained (thanks to the Village Staff). There is plenty of parking. We are well within biking distance from anywhere in town.
Take the time to look through our collection of educational resources. Be sure to get the latest copy of our informative newsletter. For those who wish to cultivate a closer relationship with the Market we even maintain a Lending Library.
Most market days will find people demonstrating a variety of activities; such as spinning wool, worm composting, carving, cider pressing, etc. Or, if not a demonstration, it is music to your ears with such talents as Mulligan Stew, the LeRoy Chimes Group, Mike Schmuck, Gordy Jacobs, and many more.
The list of products we offer at our lively market includes eggs, honey, maple syrup, baked goods, plants, and cut flowers. Our locally grown fruits and vegetables are produced with loving care and some are specifically grown to be nutrient dense. You will find heritage varieties as well as recent additions that have proven to be particularly tasty. Our crafts people have a nice selection of soaps, candles, wreathes, clothing, pottery, etc.
Remember us when shopping for Gifts for Open-houses, Birthdays, Anniversaries, or any special occasion. Remember us when supplying food for your Restaurant Menu, Reunions, Picnics, Church Dinners, Family Meals, and Pot-lucks.
If you haven’t yet been to the village green on Saturdays, come join us Spring, Summer, or Fall and actually enjoy shopping for a change. We hope our Market sounds like the kind of place you’d come to and find yourself pleasantly surprised. We can't wait to see you there.
Sincerely, the LeRoy Farmers’ Market Committee
