About the Market

Our Purpose

Our purpose is to provide consumers in LeRoy and surrounding communities with locally grown, fresh, high quality produce and products. To provide local farmers, producers, and artisans with an economic outlet within the LeRoy area. To provide the opportunity to preserve the connection between farmer and consumer, and to educate consumers about the benefits of preserving local agriculture and the benefits of using locally produced foods.

2010 Calendar of Events

THE RIDE TO SAVE A LIFE

An Adventure - LeRoy Resident, HOG Rider, Cancer Survivor, and Farmers' Market Vendor, Mark Dean, is undertaking the ride of a lifetime to help raise awareness and money in the fight against cancer.

The LeRoy Farmers' Market  is honored with the opportunity to help support this great cause by hosting a benefit lunch with a day of festivities at the Market on Saturday, June 26th 2010.

Activities will start at 10:00 AM and culminate with the exciting return arrival of Mr. Dean and his homecoming entourage.  Come join us and help to welcome Mark and his trusty Hog home to LeRoy.

"I will be riding on EVERYONE'S behalf for this fight.  The ride will start on June 1, 2010 rain or shine here in my home town LeRoy, Michigan, and head for Ludington, MI. to board the SS Badger to Wisconsin, then on to Minnesota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, Nevada, California, then back through Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio then back into Michigan and HOME to LeRoy."  ~ Mark Dean

Committee Meeting Dates

The Market is Directed by the LeRoy Farmers' Market Committee, part of the LeRoy Village Council.  All meetings are open to the public and are held at the LeRoy Township/Village Hall.

Lending Library Info

  • LEROY FARMERS MARKET LENDING LIBRARY LIST Available Books, movies on VHS or DVD, and CD-Roms & other Digital Media.
  • This library is kept in the hope that it may in some way benefit persons associated with the Market.
  • This collection is built mostly out of donated items as well as some items on semi-permanent loan.

There are three possible ways to get access to the Lending Library. The first way is to take a seat on our Leroy Farmer's Market Committee, or one of our sub-committees. The second way is to become a Vendor at the market. The third, is to add to our collection by donating one or more of the books on our Wanted List (Part B), in 'like new' condition. You must also agree to replace any items you have damaged beyond reasonable wear. - You will find over a hundred items of possible interest. May they serve you well.
